WESTERN AUSTRALIA TOURS

Ahh, you contrary thing you. Everyone else is huddled up on Australia’s East Coast and you’ve made it all the way over to this page. You obviously don’t play by the rules. You like to be a bit alternative. A bit of a trail blazer.

Well, luckily for you, all the real adventures happen waaay out West. West is sort of best. (Shh. Don’t tell anyone over on the East Coast we said that).

Why? Well, there’s thousands of miles of unspoiled beaches where you can get that picture perfect Instagram and some peace and quiet, whale sharks to swim with, quokkas to cuddle, and a heap of stargazing opportunities hanging above the gorgeous national parks of the Kimberley, Karijini, and Kalbarri. Plus, there’s some pretty good wine in Margaret River, too. Head into our Perth Backpacker store to book your transport, tours, day trips and hostels.

SWIM WITH WHALE SHARKS

It’s not often we’re left speechless (although we literally are, being underwater with a snorkel in our mouths), or use terms like “once-in-a-lifetime”. But snorkelling with these magnificent gentle giants, the world’s second largest fish, is one of them moments that truly warrants such hyperbole.
Head from Exmouth out to the Ningaloo Reef, one of the greatest marine habitats in the world, where spotter planes will locate the sharks. Plus, from Aug-Oct, you may also see humpbacks! Seriously, just stop now.
Departs: Daily from Exmouth between 01 Mar – 31 Aug
